About
Hi, I'm Arya. I'm starting my freshman year at UMass Amherst this fall for Computer Science.
I like math and building things. I'm interested in AI/ML, game design, and pretty much anything that's math-heavy, honestly. Still figuring out exactly where I want to specialize, but I like the problem-solving side of CS more than any one specific application.
Outside of academics, you'll probably find me practicing classical guitar or working out. Happy to connect with other CS students, people into ML or game dev, or anyone who wants to talk shop.
Experience
Created personalized curriculum for advanced high school students in Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, Geometry, and Computer Science Principles. SAT tutoring resulted in an average improvement of 100+ points on SAT diagnostics.
Directed classroom instruction covering foundational algorithms, data structures, and big data analysis. Assumed full lecture responsibilities during an extended faculty medical leave.
Engineered technical trading signal models and algorithmic strategies using Python to analyze financial market data. Programmed custom backtesting frameworks utilizing key indicators like RSI and Moving Averages.
Evaluated real-time athletic data and applied complex regulatory frameworks under high-pressure conditions. Executed rapid, objective decision-making matrices while managing on-field player communication.
